How Do I Update My Onyx Mixer's Firmware?

Introduction

This guide explains how to update the firmware on your Onyx Series mixer to the latest version.

System Requirements

• Windows: Version 10 or higher
• macOS: Version 10.12 or higher

Before You Begin

Ensure you have:

• The latest firmware file (e.g., flash_v1.1.17.img)
• An SD card that is:
  • 32GB or smaller capacity
  • Formatted as FAT32

Important: Do not rename the firmware file.

Installation Steps

1. Copy Firmware File

Place the supplied firmware file (e.g., flash_v1.1.17.img) in the root directory of your SD card.

2. Insert SD Card

Insert the SD card into the SD card socket on the Onyx mixer.

3. Power On Mixer

Turn on the mixer.

4. Start Upgrade

When prompted by the bootloader, press the Record button to begin the firmware upgrade.

5. Wait for Completion

The upgrade takes about 2 minutes. Do not power off during this process.

6. Verify Upgrade

After completion, the display should return to the Delay FX View.

Press FX and SD buttons together to enter Settings. Navigate to About using the encoder and press down. Confirm the firmware version is 1.1.17.

7. Power Off

Turn off the mixer. The update is complete.
